Eyes With BareMinerals

Avid readers of Iridescent Places will be well aware of my love for BareMinerals. I can hands up say that it is one of my favourite brands when it comes to makeup with two products being my holy holy grails including the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Cream yes that product that I constantly rave about on my blog and the Nude Matte Liquid Lipstick 'JuJu'.

I've wanted to branch out into their eye product range desperately as I've literally heard only good things about their eyeshadow palettes and my flatmate raves about the concealer to no end.

Firstly for the eyes it's the Gen Nude Rose Eyeshadow Palette*. Can we just appreciate this packaging?! The 6 gorgeous shades are encased in what I can hands up say is now my most beautiful eyeshadow palette in my collection. It has a spiral pink, white and grey marble effect and is so sleek and compact I just know I'll be travelling with it wherever I go. The shades in the palette spoke to me the most because I think you're really able to get a good combination of day and night looks out of the palette but it's also very multi-seasonal meaning you aren't going to abandon it midway through the year which can happen with a lot of sunset/warm toned palettes. I cannot believe the pigmentation of these eyeshadows, they are so buttery and opaque without even needing to be wet, I am actually shocked that these aren't being talked about enough. I personally think they are better than my Urban Decay Naked Palette eyeshadows and remind me of the Zoeva or the ABH eyeshadows although actually less crumbly. They wear amazingly, I don't get fallout throughout the day which could be down to another product keep reading.... The shades in the palette are:

Haze - A white matte shade to highlight your brow bone or inner corners
Pixie - A satin dusky white/pink for a base
Boho - A gorgeous shimmery rose gold copper
Free Spirit - Pigmented shimmery nude brown
Soul - Chocolate brown crease shade
Stargazer - Dark brown inner crease shade

I am always on the lookout for a new mascara, because I do really fall into a bit of a rut when it comes to them. The BareMinerals Lashtopia MascaraI can tell would be a favourite amongst those people who don't like clumpy lashes. I am much more of a clumpy lash kind of girl, but I know that people like my Mum and flatmate prefer more longer and fluttery lashes as this mascara does provide more length and lift. I have to say though, the brush does feel amazing, you can definitely tell with a higher end brush how much softer it feels on your lashes!

Like I mentioned before the BareMinerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener* is one of my flatmates favourite ever products, and I can totally see why. I used this product for a night out as I wanted something that looked less cakey and heavy under my eyes and it sat so well under my eyes. It's creamy and doesn't feel as if you've put 20 coats of concealer on at all. It is however a concealer you do need to set to avoid creasing because it is a lighter formula, so recommend using a translucent loose powder that way you aren't removing the brightening element.

Lastly you can't have a fabulous eyeshadow palette without a good primer to set it down. The Gen Nude Eyelid and Eyeshadow + Primer* is a neutral eyeshadow/primer that can be worn alone as a eyeshadow or as a primer. Personally I've not worn it yet as an eyeshadow alone but as a primer it acts as such a nice smooth base to apply your shadow onto. It is a silicone base, which actually is my preferred primer base as I find it gives a better canvas texture. As it's tinted, it also provides a bit of coverage if you suffer from pigmentation on your lids or prominent veins.

It's no surprise that BareMinerals has wowed me again! I have my eye on loads of other products including the BarePro Glow Highlighter Drops and the SPF 25 Mineral Veil I love how they put SPF in so many of their products too! Let me know in the comments below your favourite product from the brand!
