Monthly Favourites: August

Here we are, another month where I'm flabbergasted at how quickly time has gone. August was a  month which was pretty insane. With the bank holiday and being away with work I literally had plans every weekend which meant that I did actually manage to try out some new products and find some new favourites finally!

The first new product which was a monthly favourite is the Eyelure Eyebrow Pencil 'Blonde'. I haven't used an eyebrow pencil in over two years as my Hi Impact Brow palette has been my forever love. However I decided to refuse to pay £19 for an eyebrow palette which I will only use one shade out of seriously can they not do individual shades? So when I was at Boots I was drawn to this one. I find that blonde brow products are either far too light and grey or dark for my brows but this looked like the perfect shade match, and it is! It's really easy to use, lasts all day and I just bloomin love having a new brow spoolie.

I mentioned the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Defense * not too long back on my blog but I have actually had this product in my collection since the beginning of August. August has been a month where I haven't been away properly on a beach holiday Guernsey was more of a quick city break! so having a moisturizer with an SPF that I could just wear on a day to day basis made SPF application so much easier. I didn't have to worry about sitting out for lunch on a sunny day as I added this into my everyday routine in the morning. I love that this gives me an extra glow to my complexion and also loving the tube packaging but with a pump.

This is an oldie and definitely one I have properly abandoned for a long time! I've not used the Urban Decay Beached Bronzer 'Sunkissed' for a very long time but I've found that my face has definitely been the most tanned it has been for a while and Benefit Hoola just isn't giving me enough bronze. Not only am I totally obsessed with the packaging of this product but I have no idea why I've abandoned it for so long! It's such a great blendable product but just trust me when I say, a little bit goes a long way!

Step aside Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk okay just for now this lipstick has become one of my new all time favourite lipsticks. The Clarins Joli Rouge Lipsticks 'Brilliant Soft Berry* has taken my heart. I know what you're thinking, soft berry, not a very Summer colour, well I would say more muted pink. It glides on so effortlessly, it essentially acts as a sheen lip stain, enough colour to give you something but not total opaqueness to contrast my lack of face makeup.

What have you been loving in August and let me know something you're looking forward to in September!
