Monthly Favourites: September

I'm going to do a bit of a different type of favourites post this month where it's not going to be just beauty but instead encompass beauty and lifestyle so get ready for some proper random bits and bobs in here...

Beauty wise I've fallen back in love with my Colourpop Lippie Stix 'Lumiere'. I have somehow misplaced one of my favourite Clarins lipsticks that I couldn't stop talking about on the blog a while ago and have now had to venture out into my lipstick collection. I came across Lumiere and forgot what a beautiful and unique shade it is. It's a matte purpley mauve lipstick that is perfect for everyday. It has a bit more depth and colour to it than a normal lipstick, and I also happen to own a matching nail polish which too makes me very happy.

Another favourite is has been the Guerlain Météorites Pearls 'Clair'*. Unless I'm going out after work I don't wear highlighter on a day to day basis but due to having such dry I do like much more of a glowy complexion. I take a highlighter brush and dust this product over my nose, cupids bow, cheekbones, forehead and pretty much all over my face to be honest and it adds such a pretty glow. There isn't a strong colouring to it and doesn't leave any streaky lines at all, just pure glow.

With the change in the weather I've gone back to using one of my favourite perfumes which is the Chloe Eau de Parfum. It's not that I find this scent particularly autumnal but during the Summer I pretty much stuck to using the Issey Miyake Summer Perfume but for the colder weather it is a little too fresh. Now I've gone back to my cult signature scent and I do find there is something so special about wearing your signature scent!

Lifestyle wise I've definitely got a good couple new favourites. Firstly is the book "This Is Going To Hurt" by Adam Kay which is the diary entries of a junior doctor. I laughed on the tube cried on the tube and learned so much reading this book it has definitely given me such an insight and more appreciation for the people who work in the medical care industry.

Blog wise I've been loving Lucy's blog www.foreverseptember.co.uk. I absolutely love her photography and content. I've also just seen the funny coincidence that her blog name is Forever September. Weid. I'm always looking out for new bloggers and content to read. I just wish Instagram wasn't so crap so I could actually keep up with new blog post alerts as it's so hard to find them when it's been a couple of days! I also always come across people's instagrams through their blogs and then turns out I'm already following them...I just never seen their posts grrrr.
TV wise apart from watching Desperate Housewives still, obviously I'm sure you know what's coming, Bodyguard. I was obsessed. I thought the story lines were so strong and gripping and Richard Madden is also totally fit just saying.

Lastly another random favourite has to be the Pret Vegan Dark Chocolate and Almond Butter Cookie. I actually absolutely hate dark chocolate, I find it really bitter and would never eat it BUT I cannot tell you how amazing these cookies are. They are the best chocolate sugar snack I need when it's half 3 in the afternoon and I can't get enough of them. They aren't by all means healthy at all but I do find myself craving these constantly so even if you're not vegan and love a chocolate cookie, for sure try them!

Let me know what you've been loving in the month of September!

  6. The book sounds good and you just gave me the perfect gift idea for a friend that is studying medicine and is soooo hard to shop for, so thanks!
Television wise I've rewatched the Good place that is always a good laugh and fell head over heels for A Discovery of witches. Magic and vampires are my weakness, I can't help it. x
