Mauves For Autumn

Mauves are some of my favourite shades during the Autumn months. Sometimes I'm not feeling like wearing a nude lipstick as it can wash me out now I've got no tan *sob* and let's be honest, I'm far too lazy to be dealing with the high maintenance of a red or bold lip everyday.

Clearly mauve lipsticks are my thing and have accumulated many in my collection which although yes, I know what you're thinking they all look the same shade are all different formulas and different undertones okay slight undertones.

bareMinerals Nude Matte Liquid Lipstick 'JuJu' -  This is probably one of my most worn liquid lipsticks to date. I am completely obsessed with both the formula and the shade of this lipstick. It reminds me of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams where they are almost like a mousse texture so you don't have any drying.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick 'Backtalk'- If I'm looking for something a little less deep in undertone, more pink rather than red/berry undertone I tend to go for this shade. Like the bareMinerals one it too is a mousse texture and I feel it never dries out my lips. I would say this has a slightly better lasting power than the bareMinerals one which still is amazing so is a fab all day wear if I'm out and about - although the packaging...swooooon!

Makeup Forever Artist Rouge Mat 'Pink Brown'* -  Described as a lipstick that provides bold, vivid coverage this lipstick just screams of luxury. It's an incredibly matte formula but what I quite like about the shade Pink Brown is that it does have, as you can see from the swatch, a bit of a red undertone which means it is quite a specific shade finding it quite hard to find a liner to match it so any recommendations let me know!

Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme 'Velvet Mink'* - I am not usually a big fan of lipgloss and the only one I tend to use is my Colourpop Fairyfloss, BUT I have become obsessed with these Revlon lip cremes. Although I tend to find plumping products a bit gimicky, I do actually notice my lips looking fuller and smoother. Velvet Mink is my go-to lipgloss to add onto any mauve lipstick as I find it provides a beautiful shiny finish. Although it's not the longest lasting lipgloss, I have not used a single shade from this collection that I haven't loved.

Now finally moving away from lipsticks, a mauve blusher that has become a staple in my Autumn makeup routine is the Physicians Formula Butter Blush 'Plum Rose'. The physicians formula butter bronzer is my all time holy grail bronzer in the world. Infused with Murumuru Butter, this blusher glides on so effortlessly and almost has the texture of a cream blush. It is honestly the softest powdered product. Because it's quite a matte and soft bronzer, it doesn't emphasise any texture at all.

Lastly, mauve isn't exactly the shade I would reach for to put on my eyes but when I saw Colourpop's Press Powder 'Snake Eyes'  I knew I had to have it. As you can see from the swatch it's an extremely pigmented shadow as it's finish is metallic. I highly rate Colourpop's shadow formula, they are so long-lasting and you can't fault the opaqueness with one swipe. As you can see, it's definitely not a 'everyday' eye shadow so instead I keep this more for night's out.

Obviously I don't need anymore mauve lipsticks but keep me posted in the comments below on any other mauve toned products I need in my collection - although I'll still take lip product recommendations...you know just incase!
