Product of the Month: January

Finally we're nearly done with the worst month of the year, January. Although I didn't actually ask for a lot of makeup for Christmas I did get a couple of bits including the Mac Strobe Cream 'Silverlite'. This used to be a holy grail for me years ago and I can't believe I forgot how amazing it is.

The Mac Strobe Cream is similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow but rather than being gold toned, it's got a silver undertone which is quite good in the winter time as my skin is a bit redder so it balances it out. Like Wonderglow it has a shiny finish which gives your skin the most beautiful glossy finish without looking greasy. There are actually 5 different shades including which also means you can chose which undertone you prefer whether that's gold, pink, peach, red or silver.

I apply a small pump all over my skin with my hands, and it instantly feels refreshed and moisturized. The one thing I have to say is that this doesn't act like a primer, and doesn't extend your makeup's lasting power therefore I wouldn't recommend wearing it with a light-dewy foundation, but rather under light/medium satin matte foundation is works really well giving your face that glow.

If you're not sure about the product, I would highly recommend getting your hands on the travel size which is 30ml and actually lasts a long time!

Let me know in the comments below if you've tried the strobe cream and your thoughts below!

  1. I have the travel size version of this so use it quite sparingly but I do love it, it gives such a lovely glow to my skin and looks fab under foundation!

  4. This product is such a classic, everyone seems to rave about it. I'm not into dewy primers usually because I prefer my primer to be more hydrating and/or smoothing but this seems like a good product to mix in with foundation itself.
