3 Recent Makeup Purchases

The BareMinerals Mineral Veil had been on my wish list for absolutely ages as I had borrowed my flatmate's one and I knew I was desperately in need of a new powder. Recently my skin has just been terribly dry so I needed something that a) didn't separate my makeup I found Rimmel Stay Matte far too thick and ended up sitting and moving my foundation and b) Doesn't totally dry out my skin. Mineral Veil is unbelievably lightweight and you can't feel it on your face at all. To me it almost reminds me of the Milani Illuminating Face Powder. It doesn't add any colour particularly but instead just a nice well as it suggests veil.

Eyebrow products to me are one of the hardest and probably most rotating products in my collection. I always fall in love with a product and either I can never end up finding my shade in the drugstore or it gets discontinued. I was totally in love with a Revlon Brow Pencil for a while but then couldn't find my shade so turned to this L'Oréal Paris Brow Artist Xpert and I too, have fallen in love. I have the shade 'Cool Blonde' and normally I wouldn't go this grey toned for my eyebrows, but recently I've been trying to tone down my hair which is slightly yellow post Tenerife and Thailand. I firstly love the actual brow product, you're able to get such fine lines and it's creamy enough without being an overly wet formula. Also the spoolie, is a bloody great spoolie.

Lastly mascara is something I am always excited to try again as I think I get really stuck in a rut with it. I tend to pretty much stick to my KIKO Extra Volume Mascara or the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, but I've seen so many people rave about the L'Oreal Paradise Mascara so I thought I'd give it a try. To be honest, I'm quite on the fence with this mascara. Personally I think the wand is a little fluffy which means sometimes it can get a bit more clumpy and I do like a clumpier mascara and I do have a little problem with fallout with it. However saying that, it does give both length and volume but I think I'm going to stick to my originals just because of the wand.

Have you tried any of the above products? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

  4. I'm quite enjoying the L'Oreal Paris lash paradise mascara but I am finding when I build it up it can get clumpy so I'm having to remind myself to not over do it with how much product I'm using.

    1. I think that's the problem I'm having with it and it gets even flakier if I do one too many layers! x
