My Travel Essentials

With a few trips coming up, (blog post to follow) I've been trying to gather up my favourite travel essentials that are a must to take with me. I have to say, I am a sucker for a miniature, I mean how damn cute are some of these products, just because they are teeny tiny!

My travel cleanser of choice is the Garnier Micellar Water 100ml  which I've previously raved at being one of my Monthly Favourite Product: October last year, and it has been a firm travel favourite ever since. On a day to day basis I actually use a Biore cleanser but it isn't travel friendly at all as it's got a pump and would literally just go everywhere. I used to be only able to find this 100ml in Primark, but I've noticed both Superdrug and Boots sell it now which is such a life saver. I tend to get the first layer of makeup off with some makeup wipes, but then go in with this cleanser on some cotton wool buds. It's not greasy at all and works so well for someone like me who has dry skin, but I know my flatmate who has oily combo skin also loves it.

I'm sure we all know about the much loved Pixi Glow Tonic 15ml but you can also get the much beloved product in a miniature too. Although I don't tone everyday as it can be quite drying, I do like to do it twice a week when I can. So if I'm away for two weeks I know I'll need my toner, but I won't want to take a full sized one (as  I'll only be using it a max four times) so this miniature is perfect - small but mighty!

It's no secret that I am now a full fledged obsessee over Elizabeth Arden products and actually cannot bear to be apart from them for more than a day. My flatmate found me the CUTEST miniature of the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Protectant in a 5ml! I think this is only available in some stores, she picked it up at the Fabled Marie Claire store, but they also do a 50ml version too so also under the allowance!

Another product that I use probably twice or once a week, but can't go two weeks without is the Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Exfoliating Cleanser 50ml which you can buy at Duty Free at the airport. I absolutely love this cleanser. If I'm ever having a really bad skin breakout week and just need a proper cleanse, I use this in the shower and my skin looks so much better, it especially gets rid of weird little bumps and texture problems when they come around every so often!

Clarins is another brand my flatmate has started introducing me to, one that I kind of stayed away from because it was quite overwhelming the number of products they had but slowly and surely they're starting to regularly be in my skincare and makeup. I've had my eyes on the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil 04 Candy in 2.8ML size. I know have you heard of a more adorable ml size? I think I got this as a miniature when Clarins does they're free gifts when you buy 2 full sized products but even the originals are small enough for carry-on. I absolutely love these comfort oils and I need to get my hands on the honey one because they're so soft and make you lips feel so moisturized.

Of course I can't go anywhere without my trusty Mitchum Powder Fresh Deodorant 35ml. I am usually much more of a roll-on kind of girl, but sadly they don't do a mini, and although the roll ons are 100ml, they take up quite a bit of space so this is when the mini 35ml comes in handy. As someone who sexy perspires a lot, Mitchum is a serious game changer.

Although I do usually take away a mini roll on perfume, sometimes I don't want to use a perfume if I'm in really hot climates but still want something to freshen up a little. V 90's but the Impulse 'Very Pink' 35ml is such a lovely scent and if I'm just heading to the shops or out and about and don't want to wear a heavily scented perfume, this is usually my go to.

Let me know what some of your travel mini must haves are in the comments below!

  2. Impulse takes me right back to my school days. I feel like the PE changing rooms were always filled with a cloud of all the smells combined together. But you're right, miniatures are so cute!!

  4. LOVE these pictures. Why is anything miniature immediately more appealing and adorable? I am super obsessed with the pixi glow tonic again right now. I find these little ones last a week even using it daily. We all know my deep routed love for all things 8 hour cream so couldn't not get you this mini when I saw it! Also loving the zara roll on scent you recommended. You should do a fragrances post! xx

  5. I didn't know the Pixi Glow Tonic came in such a small size, might have to see if I can get hold of one for my holiday to Amsterdam at the end of the month!
