I know that a lot of people tend to shift towards 'glowy' products during the winter months, in order to revamp up their skin and make it more alive, but I just find myself reaching for those products much more in the Summer.
Recently I've become obsessed with highlighters, glowy primers and basically anything that makes me look shiny apart from the Northern Line, that is the one thing I don't like that makes me shiny.
Firstly, I know you're probably sick to death of me talking about it, but the Mac Strobe Cream has been one of my favourite products I've rekindled with. I use this product e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y under my base. It's the first thing I apply after my moisturizer and I just love the glow it ultimately gives my makeup. It's the tiniest bit tacky, which means my foundation clings and lasts all day, but provides such a natural glow underneath. Silverlite is the perfect shade because it's not too warm, or too cool toned so it doesn't affect the colour of my products either.
Of course my base just has to be the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturiser. I know, I'm a creature of habit! This will always be my go-to during the Summer months. It's lightweight, it's got SPF 30 and it just makes my skin look so even and radiant I barely use any concealer on top of it. I've done a full review on it here and here but essentially, for us girls with dry skin, just looking for something to even out our skintone, without feeling caked in the heat, this one is for you and a must.
Because there is no such thing as too much glow, I love adding cream highlighter onto this tinted moisturiser. The Sleek Highlighter Palette in Precious Metals has four of the most intense highlighters in my collection. With three luxurious and pigmented highlighters; Platinum, Royal Gold, Renaissance Gold and one bronzer powder 'Antique Bronze'. Platinum and Royal Gold are my favourite shades from the palette, and look gorgeous not only to highlight the face, but I've been loving using it on my collarbone/shoulders for nights out.
Although I do love the glow, having to travel on the Northern Line daily requires me to at least set some of my face unless I want it to slide off my face before I even get to the office. However, I want to always ensure I'm not using a thick heavy powder and one that doesn't take away that luminosity, and the Guerlain Météorites Pearl Powder Blush 'Light'* is just that. I did a full review of the product here on my Product of the Month blog post but essentially this is a finishing powder, which I've decided is now my setting powder. It's made up of matte, rosy and blue-toned white pearls which leave my face with radiance, a bit of colour and without looking flat.
Let me know in the comments below what products you use to achieve that base glow this Summer, and also, do you prefer a glowy look in the Summer or Winter time?

I'm also a huge fan of upping the glow game over the summer months! I tend to stick to the more matte look during the winter, since my already oily skin provides its own highlight :') During summer, I feel like its expected that you glow to the gods, so its all the more reason to use highlighting products. I need to try the Bare Minerals Tinted Moisturiser as well! I've stuck to the It Cosmetics CC Cream for so long now, and I love it, but I want to try more products like it :)

I love the shades in the sleek palette, the pinks are beautiful! I too always use more of my highlighters and glowy products in the summer xx
