Summer Peach

A couple of years ago I never would have imagined peach to have made its way into my makeup collection as much as it has at the moment. I used to think peach didn't work on my complexion, and I mean, no it doesn't 100% basically peach in the Winter is a no-go but I've really found a new love for peach makeup in the Summer especially when I'm sporting a bit more a tan! So I thought I'd give a rundown on some of my favourite peachy makeup picks.

L'Oreal 'Life's a Peach Blush' - This is still quite a newbie in my collection, but I have been obsessed with wearing it this Summer. A satin finished bright yet not overbearing orange peach toned blush, this gives you such a warm and glowy complexion. The best thing? The scent, oh my god, if you're a fan of the TooFaced peach products then you will absolutely love this. I'm usually not a fan of scented products, but this is just summer in a blush.

Charlotte Tilbury's K.I.S.S.I.N.G  'Bitch Perfect'  - Bitch perfect is probably up there with one of my favourite ever lipsticks after Pillow Talk and I just don't think it gets nearly as much recognition in the beauty world. A beautiful sheer peachy pink nude it's perfect for this time of the year. Usually peach-toned lipsticks look dreadful on me as they can really wash me out, but because this is a sheer lipstick formula, and also because of it's finish, it's got a bit more dimension to it rather than looking flat, so doesn't wash me out at all. I think Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are really incredible and although on the pricier side, totally worth it.

Sally Hansen 'Mauve It'- During the Summer months I like to keep my nails pretty neutral mainly because I can get away with chips for a bit longer and my go-to shades tend to be pinks, corals and peach. I absolutely love the shade 'Mauve It' from the Insta-Dri collection and yes, let me tell you, it does instantly dry perfect for us impatient nail driers it's a peachy pink shade, bordering on coral and perfect for your holidays. What I didn't know is that it's a 3-in-1 formula with a base coat and top coat incorporated in it...so I've only actually tried it with a top and bottom coat separately, so I'll let you know how it fairs solo!

Revlon Kiss Plumping Creme 'Cashmere' * - Sometimes when I don't want to go too peachy peachy I like to put a pink lipstick on first, and top up with a peach-toned lip gloss and the Revlon plumping cremes are some of my favourites. My lips look so much more plumper, fuller and juicier when I apply these. Although, naturally, not the longest lasting lip gloss, it leaves such a gorgeous finish on top of so many of my lipsticks without being overly tacky.

Benefit 'Coralista' - The Coralista blush is in my Cheekathon palette which is sadly discontinued but luckily you can still buy Coralista in a single pan. Like the L'Oreal blush, this is a bright pop of peachy/orange blush, but is more on the shimmery side, rather than satin. It's got small golden flecks throughout it and it has the prettiest undertone in it, that you can really see the shimmer not chunky at all when the light hits it.
