4 Travel Sized Friendly Shadows You Need

When travelling I find one of the hardest products to narrow down is my eyeshadows. I almost get insanely panicked that I'm going to end up needing a dramatic eye look for a night out, or that I've only brought with me 'dark eyeshadows' and I get flustered when packing, although in reality I end up not wearing any eyeshadow at all.

However, on the rare days when I do wear eyeshadow when abroad, i.e with work on press dinners or on a night out, which does occasionally happen still, I've gathered 4 of my favourite shadows which are not only great when it comes to variety, but also perfectly travel sized friendly.

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette - So I'm wildly confused as I know 100% this was called the Dolce Vita palette, but for some reason it looks like it's been renamed to the
The Bella Sofia? Confusing. Regardless, I think this still stands as one of my favourite ever palettes I own. I'm a massive fan of CT quads as not only are they sleek and compact, but the quality in them is beautiful. Dolce Vita has 4 shades, one champagne shade, a shimmery brick red, glittery gold and a shimmery chocolate brown. The champagne shade is a shade I continuously use for daytime and would buy it as a single shadow in a heartbeat. These palettes last such a long time as a little goes a long way with them!
Charlotte Tilbury The Sophisticate Palette  - Another beautiful palette which I think is a bit underrated is this one. I tend to take this away with me alongside another palette as it's a quartet of mattes and has got every matte you'd possible need. There's a tan matte for any crease work, a taupe and chocolate shade for those smokey looks and a cream for any brow highlighting or shape defining. I wouldn't tend to bring this palette by itself because I am a sucker for a shimmer shade, but this and Dolce Vita sorry Bella Sofia together are the dream team.

BareMinerals Gen Nude Rose Palette*  - If you're looking for one compact palette to take away with you and that's all, this is it. It's got 6 shades, all ranging in finishes from matte, satin to shimmer. Although it's called a 'rose' palette, I think these shades are very neutral. Pixi and Soho tend to work for me on a day-to-day rose gold eye look, for a simpler matte daytime, Pixi and Soul. If you're looking for an evening look you've got Free Spirit a stunning shimmer to play with and Stargazed a dark enough shade to work as a smokey layer. They are excellent quality for money and I absolutely adore the packaging too, bonus, it's got a mirror!

Nars Duo Eyeshadow 'Alhambra'  - I remember when picking out my first duo Nars palette I was so torn between Alhambra and Isolde. What sold me with Alhambra is that although there are only two shades, it's so much more versatile. You have the rose gold shade for day time and on the right side, you've got a beautiful champagne gold. What makes this gold so special to me is that it's workable for both evening and daytime looks. Obviously I wouldn't bring this palette solely, girls gotta have some matte shadows in her life but, these shadows are so compact that thing with a palette like Sophisticate is enough and still smaller than bringing a palette like the Naked ones away with you.
