I am definitely a highstreet drugstore girl at heart. I haven't ever really spent a ridiculous amount of money on makeup but there have always been those high-end makeup brands I've desperately wanted to try out. Firstly can I just say Bobbi Brown packaging is so luxurious. All the monochrome thrills me.
Starting with the best for first, definitely supposed to be last is the Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder 'Afternoon Glow'. In the pan I was so wary to try out this highlighter as it's definitely more gold toned than I would usually go for, especially when my tan is basically non existent. Rather than being an entire shimmer ball of gold, this has a gorgeous warm champagne shade to it. Because there is also a slight pink undertone it makes it that little bit less golden. The swatch definitely looks V intense, but I definitely did layer, whereas with a fluffy brush, it's a lot more of a sweep of shimmer.
Eyeshadow sticks have long been one of my favourite products. I think By Terry just completely revolutionized that for me. A gorgeous taupey brown, perfect for nights out the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick 'Golden Bronze'. is fabulous for a quick wash of colour across the lids. I'm so impressed with the colour pay-off of these and they
are so build able as well.
I think Mascara is one of those products I will always go to the drugstore for, along with eyeliner, because I just go through it like water. The Bobbi Brown No Smudge Mascara is perfect for all those who aren't a fan of thick clumpy mascaras, but are looking for real length but still with some volume.
I have to say, I'm quite surprised that Bobbi Brown have gone down the plumping lipgloss route with the Bobbi Brown Lipgloss 'Buff'. I'm not necessarily a fan of lip plumping glosses, although that's more so the sensation than the actual affect. I think this shade is gorgeous, it definitely looks more brighter of a pink in the tube, but it's actually more of a dusky peach shade perfect to layer on top of any nude.
Lastly I mean this is also really good, so technically counts best for last is the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow 'Beach Bronze'. A very similiar shade to the eyeshadow stick, this cream shadow is less taupey and more copper toned. The consistency is on paar with the eyeshadow sticks, however I would say, these are always easier to work with as you can pre-warm the product being applied to your eyeshadow before even applying it.
Let me know in the comments below if you've tried Bobbi Brown and if so, what's your favourite product?

That highlighter is stunning! This is a brand that I haven't tried lots from! x
ReplyDeleteI really want to try something from Bobbi Brown, so this is so helpful! I love the look of that highlighter, but I think it may be a bit too dark for my pale skin. I definitely need to try the cream shadow though, that colour looks gorgeous xx

I haven't tried a lot from Bobbi Brown but I love the concealers and correctors, and the cream shadows as well. The highlighters have been on my radar for a while. The Shimmer Bricks are sooo pretty!x
