ASOS Beauty Advent Calendar Week 2

I'm actually late with my advent calendar post because I couldn't believe that another week had already gone by since my first one! If you didn't see what I got in Week 1, I've popped the link the the blog post here. For a little background, I purchased the ASOS Beauty Advent Calendar for £55 - in the first week I was incredibly impressed with my advent calendar. I still am impressed with the products, but I have to say, I'm missing having any beauty or body products in it as this is mainly a skincare one. There have been quite a few face masks already and lots of serums/toners etc, and I feel like this is missing some nail polishes, a body cream or a body scrub etc.

However here we go, a rundown of my products!

Day 8 - Origins Clear Improvement Face Mask (75ml)

Another great start to the week, I was so pleased to see this Origins face mask. I've wanted to try Origins face masks for ages! This usually retails for £24 so you're getting a really good deal with this product in here. Aimed at clearing pores, this active charcoal mask draws out impurities and toxins. I would have personally preferred a hydrating mask for my skin type, but I think I'll use this as a locationally mask on my nose and chin area where I get the most spots.

Day 9 - This Works Love Sleep Pillow Spray (10ml)

Absolutely love getting a This Works product in here. This is the love sleep Pillow Spray, and now I love sleep people. With Ylang Ylang and Patchouli oils, with a few spritzes on your bed and in your room, you're off to sleep. Now I don't know how much this works as truth be told, I sleep quite well, but I'm obsessed with my bed linen smelling like this!

Day 10 - Nip + Fab Illuminate Toner (100ml)

A Vitamin C Fix Tonic, this is reminding me of my much loved Pixi Glow Tonic. I've only ever used Pixi as a tonic, so I'm going to be intrigued to give this one a try.  This is a full sized product at £19.95, so a great find in the calendar. The reviews online are so-so, but will be interesting to see how I get on with it!

Day 11 - Marvis Classic Strong Mint Toothpaste (10ml)

I mean a bit of a rogue one in here, but to be honest, I always am in need of a miniature toothpaste for all those trips I'm unable to take. Like I said, it was nice to open something that wasn't a face product so even though a little rogue, definitely will be using this for any short trips I've got coming up!

Day 12 - Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair (100ml)

Now I've actually been using this all of this year as I think my mum got it in an M&S beauty advent calendar last year, and sadly she was allergic to it. However, I've been using it and absolutely love it so I'm thrilled there's another full sized one in mine! You apply a little bit onto your damp hair before drying and I have really found that my hair looks a lot healthier. I have a lot less split ends than I did before and my hair feels so incredibly soft too.

Day 13 - Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream (30ml)

A product I'll probably give to my mum no offence mum on the anti-wrinkle day cream label. I'm quite particular about the day creams I use (i.e I only ever use my First Aid Beauty one) but damn this is quite an expensive day cream as they go! At £55 for 30ml it's quite a good calendar deal. This is a "revolutionary Anti-Ageing cream that uses the Marine extract Padina Pavonica to transform the complexion in just over 2 weeks." It's got fantastic reviews online so I'm going to be intrigued to see what my mum thinks of it!

Day 14 - Sunday Riley Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment and Vitamin C Brightening Serum (5ml)

Lastly in this week we received two Sunday Riley miniatures. One being the Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment (5ml) and then a Vitamin C Brightening Serum (5ml). I mean I can see why we got small miniatures of this because those full sized products are expennsssiivveee. The Glyolic Acid Treatment aims to exfoliate and repair dull and congested skin whereas the Vitamin C Brightening Serum is there to brighten the appearance of the skin. These have amazing reviews online so I may just give them a try this week!

  6. I remember loving that origins charcoal mask but it was quite difficult to rinse off without causing a mess. Also I have got to start trying some Sunday riley products in 2021. x

  9. ASOS takes care of everyone through their beauty calendar. Only if they could get cheap paper writing service the same way as they dd get the beauty products. Beauty is only skin deep but paper writing stays for centuries.
