First Impressions: bareMinerals Lip Gloss-Balm*

[ad contains gifted products] I've been obsessed with lipglosses for the past couple of years and matte lipsticks and lips have really taken a back seat (apart from the obligatory red lipstick around Winter time) I am all hear for the juicy, plump and glossy lipsticks. As we know, I'm obsessed with bareMinerals as a brand (if you haven't read my post about My Favourite bareMinerals Products I highly recommend doing so, the brand is just fabulous). When bareMinerals sent me a selection of the brand new bareMinerals Lip Gloss-Balms* I was so excited because I am all here for it. I thought I'd do a bit of a rundown of my initial thoughts of them and the colours they kindly sent over.

I was sent the shades; Vision (light pink), Clarity (clear gloss), Zen (Berry Tone) and Ingenuity (Nude) and obviously every single one is totally my shade to a Tea. There are currently 15 shades in the range and they range from pink, nude and berry shades.

Packaging: I love bareMinerals packaging as I find it always a bit minimalist, sleek and easy to use. I love the clear lipgloss tube as you can just tell what shade you're getting from initial glance. Something I love the most about this shade is that it has a brilliant stopper, meaning the perfect and right amount of products comes off on the applicator. The applicator is a soft doe-foot applicator which is always easy to use and you can get yourself a nice precise line.

Price: These lipglosses come at £20 so in terms of around other bareMinerals products, they're the same price as their lipsticks which usually come out at £20, but they contain 4mL of product which is larger than most glosses (for example Mac cosmetics is just over 3mL and Charlotte Tilbury at 3.5mL) so you're getting a lot of bang for your buck too.

Formula: I love this formula it's juicy, plumping and as you can see from the swatches, it's super glossy as well. Whilst most lipglosses don't last a long time, this one is quite tacky without being overly sickly sticky so it's got some nice lasting power on it. I find you can either wear them on their own as they've got enough pigmentation, or if you want to layer on top of a lipstick they work quite nicely on top.

Left to Right: Zen, Ingenuity, Vision, Clarity
Overall Thoughts: I reckon these are going to easily become one of my favourite lipglosses to use. Although they are on the higher price end side of things compared to other glosses in the market, they are worth it. The clear shade is just going to be perfect to take a matte lipstick to a glossy shade, and the nude and pink ones will no doubt be a staple. I'm really impressed, as per usual with bareMinerals and the amazing makeup products they keep coming out with.
