A Makeup and Skincare Haul

It's been a long time since I took the plunge and just spent a load of ££ on some makeup and skincare, and with a wedding coming up, and lots of my skincare running out I knew I should just bite the bullet and get some new goods.

Firstly I got a load of stuff from Boots online as they had some great deals on, I like to shop around to different shops (but always purchase enough for free delivery duh) and find the best deals.

Nars Cosmetics Sheer Glow Foundation £28.90 - As mentioned I've got a wedding coming up and as a bridesmaid I was conscious that I didn't have a foundation to hand that was good enough coverage for all day wear/photos and more importantly one that I loved. I used to use this foundation religiously at uni and loved it, and as someone with dry skin I found it amazing. I took to Insta and asked the people, and Danielle's Beauty Blog came back and reminded me of this foundation! I actually got colour matched in the Covent Garden shop in the first instance as I haven't had that done in years, and I got matched in the shade Deauville.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser  £21.60- Boots had a deal on where you could get up to 30% off Liz Earle products so I stocked up on my favourite cleanser. Honestly I notice a massive difference if I use any other cleanser but this one. I find it not only cleanses my skin, but leaves it feelings soft and moisturised. Obsessed.

Real Techniques Complexion Rescue Sponge £6.00- I used to use this sponge all the time even with the Nars foundation, and whilst they say it's best used with your fingers, I wanted the option to try the coverage again with a sponge as I find with dry skin, sponges do work best for me.

I then went to Look Fantastic as they had some other good deals for some of my other bits and plus it's difficult to find places that stock my favourite moisturiser First Aid Beauty. Also all new customers on Look Fantastic get 20% off which is always very welcome!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream  £14.99 - The only moisturiser I will forever use that is perfect for sensitive and overly parched skin. I really should have gotten a big tub of this, but find this is much easier to travel with and pop in my bag for weekends away (I do obvs have a mini as well). I've talked about this moisturiser to length, I just cannot fault it.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara £9.99- I've tried numerous mascaras and even tried the Maybelline Sky High Mascara that everyone raved about, and whilst I liked it, I just didn't LOVE it as much as I do the original Lash Sensational, so I repurchased this one ,at £9.99 you just can't go wrong.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer £30.00  - I have wanted to try this primer for ages, ever since I saw KathleenLights rave about it, I knew I wanted to get my hands on it. Whilst it is a little spenny, I can't wait to give it a try as so many people rave about it for those with drier skin. I just hope it works well with my Nars foundation and keeps my makeup looking healthy and fresh throughout the wedding!

Let me know if you've purchased any of the above and your thoughts on them (although if you hated them don't let me know as I just spent a small fortune haha!)

  7. I just received the Nars foundation last week and I've been LOVING it. It's very sheer and buildable, suitable for everyday wear. Also, the FAB Creme Ultra is my absolute favourite especially during colder days. My skin is sensitive and I have no problem using it. Great picks! Xx
