Recent Lifestyle Favourites

It's been quite a long time since I did a lifestyle favourites and whilst I have been wearing makeup in the past couple of months, I've not changed or got anything much new, so wanted to share my lifestyle bits instead.

H&M Fluffy Jumpers

I got two of these jumpers recently in January and I just haven't stopped wearing them recently. They are just that little bit more 'put-together' and smarter than some of my other jumpers and I quite like the texture and feel of them too. I have the jumper in cream and a gorgeous light blue, and can tell it will take me right from Winter through to Spring.

The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett

I haven't finished this book just yet but I am nearly there and am absolutely loving it. The Vanishing Half follows the story of two twins who lead very different lifestyles after separating in their teens, however their paths come back through their next generation of children. I've really been enjoying this books, and whilst it has taken me forever to read (not because it's difficult to read, purely I've been lazy when it comes to reading) I highly recommend it.

A couple of new pieces of Jewellery I've had and been wearing recently include my Stilnest Pisces Zodiac Necklace. When my zodiac necklace got stolen last year, which was my Grandma's, I was beyond gutted, so had asked for one for Christmas and I adore this. I've been wearing it pretty much everyday and its just gorgeous and lovely quality. Another piece of jewellery are my new earrings I got too. I got these gorgeous gold ear thread earrings and I've never seen a pair like them before and whilst I don't know exactly where there are from, there are loads out there that look quite similar. I'm now a bit addicted and want to get loads more of them!

Podcast wise I've been listening to a real variety. Firstly I've been keeping 'up to date' with current affairs through the Guardian in Focus podcast which choses a 'current news agenda' to delve into. I've quite enjoyed these podcasts as they've always been straight talking and don't get too technically whilst still remaining informative. I spend a lot of my time in my job reading tabloid newspapers, so this is a good way for me to in-jest other media! Other podcasts include the Wondery podcast Harsh Reality: The Story of Mirian Rivera, which tells the story of reality TV start Miriam Rivera and the reality TV show fraught with controversy. I've also been listening to 'How To Fail with Elizabeth Day' in which she invites a famous/celebrity guest on her podcast to talk about moments in their life in which they feel as if they failed. I listened to the Jacqueline Wilson one (one of my favourite authors as a child) and found it fascinating!

  2. Fluffy jumpers are the best! Both to wear at home and out. I've got a couple that I love wearing all the time. Recently my favourites have been warm blankets and socks as I've loved being at home recharging whenever I could :)
